My wiper is running continuously and the dash tach doesn't work. Power locks don't work, either. What can I do to fix it?

I know for me, I couldn't get my intermittant wipers to work on my '89.. It was a loose wire in one of the steering column connectors (it had come out of the connector). Maybe there is a broken wire or two, or perhaps a ground issue in that group of wires?

A very common on these cars are the power door actuators locking up.... Can you manually lock/unlock the car? If not, the actuators are likely locked up and need replacing.

You realize there likely are different, unrelated problems.

Take a digital volt meter( dom) ( harbor freight has cheap one) check that switch has power and actuator has power when switch is preseed. Let us know what you find.
