Alright guys. I set my timing tonight to about 14 degrees when I took it down to 10 it wouldn't even stay running. When I plugged the spout back in it jumped to about 22 degrees. Is this normal?
First thing i'd so is take care of the code 12 and 13, but doing the idle reset procedure.
Pull the IAC plug with engine running and adjust idle stop screw to a low idle. If the engine won't run with the IAC unplugged, open the screw up a lot, start the engine, and then back it down.
Then shut off the engine, plug the IAC back in and reset the computer by unhooking the battery for 30 mins. Then hook it up and restart. Drive around a bit and let it relearn idle.
You would need to check that the balancer hasn't spun. You just need to see where 0 on the balancer is in relation to the pointer, when #1 piston is at top dead center.
