Hello everyone,
I purchased a Mustang GT recently and love everything but the stereo location behind the shifter is a huge PITA. So after digging a bit out found a kit on ebay that basically swaps the A/C and stereo locations http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110613684792&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1262wt_1161

The quality is great but the seller has basically no instructions, I was hoping someone has done this (or at least something similar) before and could provide some basic instructions so im not just blindly hacking away at the console.
Thanks in advance.

Well install is complete, i cut a little too much from the console so its not perfect, but all in all it looks good. I snapped some photos along the way

The metal look is an eyesore compared to the rest of your interior. Maybe could paint it to match

Well my intention is to go more metal actually. I have the metal gauges bezel from upr and the guy who made these is also making me a replacement shifter bezel since my existing one is cracked.

might look better after that, it just looks too unfinished for my taste... maybe its the finger prints thats turning me off on it...

I was looking at the same kit but in black and have been asking seller for a while for pics. Looks like yours are the one he used for his listing also. How much cutting is involved and can you return back to stock if you ever decide to?

Lots of cutting. Had to cut the dash drill holes in the alignment tabs on the a/c panel and then cut the sides of the center console as well as drill holes to mount everything. As for the ac gauges im getting white el glo gauges and a/c panel from upr and getting bullet knobs so it will hopefully look a bit better. Thanks for the comments.

Ohh also for the seller using my pics, I told him he could since he didnt have any before. He is also making me the replacement shifter bezel in metal since my stock one is cracked. Ill upload photos when I get it done.

I really like the stereo relocated up top....but like the others, not really a fan of the metal look.

With the other billet stuff your going to add I'm sure it will look sharp.

To tie into the interior a little better.

And yes I have a pro 5.0 as well, I just hate reaching around it to work my stereo.
