Well i got my a/c working for about 2 hrs the other day. Had new lines put in on the high and low sides and new evaporator and system charged. The shop advised the cooling fan relay mounted under the dash on the left side was blown and needed to be replaced and the system would be fine. So off to Autozone i went and had to special order the relay $32. I installed the relay and turned the system on and the cooling fan started working along w/ the compressor and the a/c got nice and cold which it had not done before for years. I drove the car about 30 miles and parked it. The next day i started it and turned a/c on and the thing blows warm air. I pulled the relay out and the boards on #5 and #2 pins were blown out. The connector was a little discolored as well. Anyone have this issue or thoughts on it, fixes. Relay get expensive.. Not sure if it matters but the engine is a 2.3, just figured the cooling stuff was all the same.
