Look at the shipping charges on those things. jeez. $40+ to ship headlights?

yeah, those are basically the same thing... and btw, that really blue light in the inside better be able to be turned off... the local cops would absolutely hate me more than they do already

-the center of that ring lights up really bright... and the lens just to the left (not lit in the pic) is the highbeam... I know this, but have never seen it on a mustang... doesn't look bad at all

-btw, that shipping is pretty standard rate... sucks, huh? some companies only charge like $35 for USA, but that's still bad... I guess it costs a lot to pay an employee to get out of the chair, pull the lights, and put a destination label on it, and wait for the delivery truck to pick it up

I don't know if those are the same ones as above, maybe the black housing ones are? In the ad for the last link it says: Three Bulbs included for H/L beams, projector lights .
So maybe looking at the picture, from inside to the turn signal, it goes High, Low, Glowing ring? lol

the regular headlight is inside the "halo" ring... it's just the "driving lights" light... that's all the ring is... it gives off virtually no light... just take a look at any BMW... they have pretty much the same headlights

I finally picked up a digital camera... Will be taking pictures of mine tomorrow night and will post them with all lights on... The halo goes around the projector low beam... The high beam is on the inside of the low beams..

i have a quick question. what's the difference between our stock halogen lights and projector lights? and then how do these projector lights stack up against hid lights?

projectors are best paired with HID...

the idea is that the projectors don't have to use the housing of the headlight to emit light to the front. where when they do, albeit shiny it still can't be as good as the projectors.

the projectors look killer with HID... my bro's car has pimp headlights

I think i have made up my mind to get these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7937795042&category=33710

for under $200 i dont think i can go wrong, and i am sure they will be a lot brighter than what i have now? Or maybe the same?

well... the stock bulbs have a very low lumins rating... meaning, no matter how high the kelvin output is, the lights are dim... most standard bulbs are this way. the lenses that are stock (not the cobra ones) take the light, and reflect it from the back of the lens, and filtered through the clear outer part, to dispurse it... the projector lenses take the bulb, refract the light at a specific angle from the bulb, to the rear part of the lens, and straight out... much less resistance for the light. HID lights have extremely high lumins output rating, like 4000 compared to 50 (not actually, but you get the idea)... so even though they are like 35w instead of our stock 55watt bulbs... they produce a much brighter light... w/o the danger of overpowering the wiring... in short, more light hits the road, and therefore, more is reflected back to you, so you can see more I hope that explained it as well as I understand it

Saw the projector lights on my dad's Bimmer this weekend. I know there was a question as to what part of the light lit up for the headlight.

In that picture, the parking lights are on, not the headlights. The light closest to the turn signal is the headlight, and the part inside the white ring that just looks like a black plastic circle lights up as the headlight. The light furthest inside, closest to the grill is the highbeam.
