Hi, I'm new to this forum so please bear with me. I recently bought a 1994 Cobra and need help or information on idle problem. First off it has a DSS
short block with new AFR165 heads. Car has 1-5/8 Mac headers,Mac cold
air,stock throttle body and stock Maf sensor. Now for the cam. It has a
Anderson Motorsport B-31 cam. It has 270-280 advertised duration and
218-228 at.050 with .544 lift with 1.6 rockers. Car runs excellent at part or full throttle. The anderson website states this cam to be a 2600-6200 rpm cam. Car still has stock computer chip also. I would love to leave cam in the engine but I want a better idle characteristics. Car is never raced, so drivability is my main concern. What, if anything can be done to get this car to idle better at say 800-850 without changing the cam. Please point me in the right direction to cure this problem. Love the car, just want a better idle.
Motor has 500 miles on it. I bought the car from Darin Robertson from the Corral website so some of you may know the car. He went by the name of
FastH20.
