1994 idle issues

I’m having some issues with my idle will sit around 1100-1200 and when rolling it will hang at 1500 untill I stop and it will go back down to 1100 but I just can’t seem to get the idle to go down I’ve tried a base idle reset and it didn’t do anything and I’ve also tried a IAC restrictor plate and that did nothing at all aswell I just can’t seem to figure this out. (The car has a EGR and SMOG delete and is tuned to delete the egr) no noticeable vacuum leaks either I’ve smoke tested the car twice and can’t find any Koer koeo and cylinder balance codes linked below

What is the vacuum reading at idle?

21-23ish but is also idling at 1200 so thought that could be the reason for a higher vacuum

Ok so codes are KOEO 511 and 12 and KOER 3 and cylinder balance test was 9

I suspect the 511 is caused by your EGR delete modification. It could be creating issues with your ECU. Try removing it and see what it does to the idle.

What do you mean remove, Remove the tune or remove the code? If you mean the code how do I clear them?

I think he means remove the EGR delete mod, it will turn the light on but it takes that mod out of the equation,
I think
In case it is not functioning correctly
I guess

Yea, I assumed you had a stock ECM with a EGR delete chip. So, what ECU are you using and what mods have been done? You’ve already eliminated the typical high idle causes, so we’re looking for the unusual cause. Most don’t have molded ECUs, but you do. So, it’s more than likely the cause of the high idle.

Yep I have a stock ecu

Yea, what he said. Remove the ECU mods and see if it helps the issue.

The hanging idle is normal so the idle doesn't just drop hard and stall the car. However, stock idle is lower than 1100 rpms. Did you set idle to 1100 rpms?

No I’ve been unable to get my idle below 1100
