On Friday of the past week my blower motor went out on my Mustang, I got a replacement part for it but I can’t figure out how to connect it. The new part only has two wires while the former part had several wires I am uploading pictures so someone can help me in here. I need my car and apparently when I ask anyone around here I am treated as an idiot. I have been told to look at the relay and when I ask where it is located I’m basically told under the hood, I found the resistor and replaced it but I cannot figure out how to attach the blower motor. The old part has a piece on it that is not on the newer one. I have attached the fan on the new base but that’s as far as I have got. Can someone please help me. The second picture is the new base with just the two wires. Do I attach them to the resistor? Not sure what to do after that. I have checked all the fuses and like I said replaced the resistor but can’t figure this one out.

I have done this job on several Fords. All of the blower motors had only a single pair of larger wires going to a connector.

Ford puts the resister block as an external unit and locates it within the air stream for better cooling.

Just wondering. What were the smaller wires attached to originally? I'm having trouble understanding IF they did anything at all.

The resistor and the motor are brand new, the fuses are good but still not getting power to the motor...could the wiring be bad between the resistor and the blower motor?
