OK, I got a trunk lid from a local junkyard for 80 bucks but it is red. My car is Chrome Yellow .... My question: I obviously need to get it painted but I want to know what the best way to prep it is? Do I have to sand it to bare metal or can I just get it smooth with like 600, 800, 1000 grit wet sanding?
Also, I was toying with the idea of painting it myself but don't know what type of paint is good. Can anyone with any knowledge inform me?
