I have a 1998 v6. stock everything. im looking to put an exhaust system on it. without replacing the headers. I was looking at flowmaster's and pypes. should i be looking at any other brands? any specific kits? what would you go with for a first exhaust.
Hello, first off it depends what kind of sound you are looking to get. I have headers, an h-pipe down to flowmaster 40's, then its dumped off right after that. You can REALLY hear it in the cab of the car, also its quite loud outside as well. [I used to have open headers on this car but... that's a different story] H-pipes offer a relaxed kind of growling noise to your car, where as an X pipe will give you more rasp and backfire. I suggest going to Youtube and looking up different systems and seeing what you like :] Cheers!
i have done my youtube research. and i prefer the pypes catback over the flowmaster catback. i was just wondering if anyone has had any trouble with either system. with installing, or quality.
