Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. Does anyone know where the reverse alarm is located on the 1999 mustang? I got this car about six months ago and haven't really looked very hard for it. It sounds like it is coming from the left tail-light. I want to disconnect it but not sure where it is. I don't see a fuse for it either. I'm not even sure if it is a factory item or an add-on.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, boxboss

Definitely an add-on. I don't believe any Mustang came with a backup alarm.

Well, this morning I opened the rear tail-light and found this. It was the backup bulb/beeper combination. They sell these on eBay and Amazon for about $10-20. It was driving me crazy hearing that beeping every time I put it in reverse. I put in a regular bulb, no more beep! Mystery solved.

I've never seen these before either. Cheap way to put a backup alarm on a big van or an RV, just didn't work on a Mustang. Kinda embarrassing actually. LOL
