Hi all,

So rather than order some wires and end up having to send them back I am going to ask you guys. Are the wires for a '99 Cobra different than the earlier models? I was under the impression that they are, given the 99s started using a coil on plug setup. Does anyone know the part number for the correct wires? I'm looking at some FRacing wires that say they are for all 4v 4.6 motors.... Any help would be appreciated and links are great!

if you are speaking about the FRPP wires, I believe those are strictly for the '96-'98 Cobras (for use with the coil packs). Coil On Plugs would require you to get some Motorcraft replacements or upgrade to MSD/Granatelli or the like. Count on paying $300+ or so for a full set.

Don't replace them if you arn't having any problems. If it's misfiring, then find the bad one, and replace. Coil on plugs arn't a maintainace item. So save your self some money and just get some new plugs.

Careful when you are changing your plugs. The COP's tend to dry rot over time and the boots will crack when you pull them out if you're not gentle with them.
