LS-1's do it all the time with their stock SS's/z-28's, why cant the mach-1 run as good! Pretty much the same hrspwr/tq #'s for both and if u know how to drive, I dont see the problem. I've seen cars with well over 400hp to the wheels not break 14's...why??? it's all in how they put that power to the ground!!!
Mach's are set up from the factory to drag race, plain and simple...even in stock form with around 280HP to the rear wheels it can run low 13's with a good driver...

In San antonio which is only about 250 miles away I run 13.2's without the drag radials, just in street tires. It all depends on the driver, track and weather conditions. This is where I see the stock Mach 1's run low 13's with maybe aftermarket filters and catback systems. here at home they barely break into the 13's.
