1st time @ track 02 gt vs. 04 Mach

I don't care what a Mach1 site says, I have seen alot of dyno graphs for Mach1's and most don't even lay down 290rwhp. They don't have 330fwhp.

Back to my original post all of the items that make a Mach a 1/4 mile car are also present on the GT except the 3.55 gears.

It's not just about peak power either, but even so, comparing peak 280 rwhp Mach vs 225rwhp GT that's close to a 60 rwhp difference between the two. If stock GTs can be driven to a tune of high 13s - low 14s, why not a car with 60 rwhp more and only slightly heavier with better gearing run mid 13s or lower? Similar to the jump between non PI GTs vs 99+ :nice:

Now it all comes out doesn't it? :(

Here a few dyno from stock Mach on our dyno day mine is the last one:

Seems you don't know much about the Mach to me, A few us on this board have owned both so your not telling us anything about the 2 we don't know.

03/04 Cobra > 03/04 Mach > 99/01 Cobra > 96/98 Cobra > 99/04 GT > 96/98GT....That's the food chain and the way the ball bounces until the next gens come out. I will say the 99+ GT's will run with the 96/98 Cobra in the 1/4 due to gearing.

We have atleast 10 mach's that run at my local track and most of them run 13.6-13.8 bone stock but one guy did run 13.2 bone stock but he can drive the hell out of it. We also have 03AV8R that has all the bolt ons with no motor work done and he has run 11.97 so even with all the same bolt ons on a GT there is no way you are going to run those numbers.

Wow...I just looked at your Mach 1 page.....and I want your car. Seriously, where do you live. I want it. :D

This is kinda funny now what about this formula

2003-2004 Cobra > 94-98 GT, 99+ GT, Mach1

I guess I think Mach1's are ugly retro crap so maybe if I thought differently I wouldn't like getting beat by a GT either.

Mine went 13.1 @ 102 bone stock with a set of ET streets on it.......Look up the video, its on this site somewhere. You can here me spin the ET streets.

Modified on street tires it was trapping 108mph in 98 degree heat on street tires @ MMP in may......

I think he’s a lost cause he’ll never be happy with any performance car he gets because someone’s always out there with more power. The fact is I loved my GT too, funny how some put so much emphasis on overall power rather their car is fun to drive or not. Seems back ass-words to me, 99% of the time your driving on the streets and the 1% you race is all that’s important. ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE IT’S OK.

The retro part is funny too other than the wheels, shaker, and interior the car is 99% like my 02 (Cobra too for that matter). The interior is second to none in the Mustang line, I love the shaker, and the wheels are fine IMO.

Talk about inferiority complex

Beating 2 out of three Mach1's I have raced make me/my car inferior?

Not to mention I love the way my Mustang drives with my set-up. Like I stated in one of my earlier posts 90% of the Mach owners I talk to act as if there car is the fastest thing around and they aren't.

I enjoy my Mustang just as much as my SS or my G/F's SRT-4. It is alot more fun to step up to a Mach1 in a GT. I like surprises.

Hey got any slips or a video? I didn't think so your GT or superior driving skills must be better than anyone's elses. Your the one with the attitude and if that's how you aproach those Mach owners I think I know the problem.

Do you get slips where you street race? I don't.

And maybe it is there attitude not mine why would I care otherwise. People in Mach1's try to pick on my " weak " GT all of the time. I think I have a right to have an attitude. They never seem to bother me in my SS. Hmmmm

I am not saying all Mach1 owners are like this, but I can tell a couple here are.

Stock LT-1's don't run low 13's Mid to high with good traction maybe, but low 13's is pushing it.
Maybe where u live, but here ive seen stock 02ss/auto run a 13.3@104 mph 3 times in a row. Ive also seen a variety of lightly modded ss's (exhaust, gears, lid, throttle body) run 12.4-12.7 with drag radials though. I respect the mustang GT, mach-1 and LS-1's as well and dont care who runs what, but its nice to see AMERICAN cars running good numbers in te 1/4 cause the imports are taking over (slowly but surely)................A 14.0/1/4 mile car is almost laughable in japan standards so america better tighten up in the hsrpwr wars right now!

That's all fine and dandy, but you're getting your facts mixed up. An '02 Camaro and all 98'-up F-bodies are LS-1's, not LT-1's. Big difference! LT-1's were used in the earlier F-bodies (93-97), which like I said, don't run low-13's in stock trim.
Im stating what I saw and my facts are facts. If I mistakenly addressed a lt-1 then sorry, but ls-1's/mach-1's do run similar 1/4 mile times reardless of hrspwr and GT's can run with both with the proper add on's (full exhaust, gears, timing, drag radials, good tune)!

Youre the one that got things mixed up.

It read LS1s... not LT1s.

Youre the weakest link... Goodbye!
