Is there an AC delete kit out there for the 2.3 NA?

Umm...no, because you don't need one. The AC compressor runs off a separate belt.

.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Honestly though, kind of funny. This is one of those posts that's kind of pointless. Unless...you're talking about the removal of all of the A/C components (pump, core, condensor, and the works.).

I guess I should have made my intentions a little more clear.

I don't own the 2.3 yet, so I'm not completly sure how everything works or is attached. I will be building this into a Rally car to compete in the Rally America Central Region Championship. There is a provisional period for new drivers, so I have to run the 2.3 until I earn the right to drive more powerful cars. I plan on doing the 5.0 swap when that time comes. in the meantime, I need to figure out how to make the little old 2.3 into a race worthy car.

that being said, I will be taking out the AC system completly.

Now that you knwo that, is it still as easy as removing the AC belt? or are there other things on that belt?

Ah. See man, you gotta tell us these things.

Anyway, yes it is as easy as just removing the belt. The AC compressor runs off the water pump pulley on these engines. So all you gotta do is yank the belt, then pull off the compressor and bracket, and it's taken care of.

Very simple job though. I would almost say that it's easier done than said! Apologies for the excessive laughter earlier though. I had assumed that you had already seen the motor/car/etc.

Peace out
