Our local dirt track up here is considering running 4 bannger mim trucks
Ranger's S-10's, And D-50
So far rules are it has to have a carb on it no Efi our throttel body
What would be a good motor to get i know where a 84 mustang is with a 2.3 and a 5 speed how strong is this motor i plan on having it gone thur before racign it anyway but will the tranny hold up ??
Any tricks i can do cam wise our head wise besides polishing and porting.
also what did rangers come with 7.8 our 8.8 rear ends i have a 88
thanks any help would be helpfull :flag:

well not positive..but prolly 7.8 rears in the ranger...and i would check the rules before doin to much to a motor...but even carb'd..if you got the $$ to spend on it can make a screamer out of it...headwork,camshaft,header,maybe a holly and so on..But like i said, check the rules..some tracks want allow but so much work done

well actualy me and my boss are putting this class together
and i have been lookin on the internet for rules.
anyone know of any track where they run these trucks at we run the super trucks around here but there arent to many of them cause they cost to much to build and only 2 our so tracks run them around here.
So most guys spend the money bulding a I-stock
but we think this will be a nice lil entry level class they run the 4 bannger front wheel drive cars at another track but they dont get to many and i dont car for the front wheel drive.
nothing like seeing a car sliding thru the turn on a tacky track
