I mistakenly bought a new fan motor for a 3spd heater. However, my '65 has the 2spd.
The old 2 spd motor has 3 wires. The new 3 spd has 2 wires.

Can I use this without any issues???

Thanks everyone!

I dont see a problem, Hook up the wires so you have medium and high or low and high, The resister is what limits the speed

I'm not familiar with the wiring of the two speed. I couldn't find a diagram anywhere. Does the two speed have a resistor assembly? You will need a resistor to incorporate at least a low speed.

If you change your switch to a three speed switch and add the resistor assy, you could run all speeds.

Here is a simplified diagram of how the three speed is wired.
