A search would give you quickest results...I think there is a stickey here or over at The Corral that goes into detail for this swap..There is alot to the job and a doner v8 car would make it easiest. Wiring harness, fuel lines, vaccume lines, vaccume fittings, 8.8 rear, these are just a few things that you need in swapping a v8 into a 4cyl...

Someone should make a tech forum. This way questions like this would be easy to find and in one location.

Devus is back...i thought i could smell the sarcasm...

But really, run a search and check out the 5.0 tech forum, this has been covered in detail. there is a lot to doing the job right, and without a complete 5.0 donor car it can be VERY frustrating, time consuming and expensive.

Amazingly enough, I took a few seconds to browse the tech section and found this:

http://forums.stangnet.com/643651-useful-technical-thread-index.html

and even more amazing, first post within that post:

http://forums.stangnet.com/516785-what-exactly-do-i-need-convert-mine-5-0-a.html

Why have a tech section if nobody uses it?

Except that 5.0 Talk is a sub-forum of 5.0 Mustang and amazingly enough comes after 5.0 Tech.

Give people more credit, it's not that they "are not familiar with the site," it's that they are too lazy to find the proper location for the post prior to posting.

DeVus1... knows how to use it...

It is true that far too few people use the search function. After spending almost 9 years here, I haven't seen a question that hasn't been asked at least twice.

Now if that search function worked as good as a Google search and people used it, my post count would be below 2000...

you didnt, devus is just the sarcastic one of the bunch, dont mind him. generally though this forum is more active than any other on stangnet so i understand why you posted here, but before you post a question you should always do a search of the forums first because it is incredibly rare that anyone has a question that hasnt been discussed, in depth, already
