I just turned 16 and I went and got my 86' coupe mustang, (that i am trying to fix up), and a 2.3 liter turbo engine and I was reading about a Volvo Head to Ford Block conversion that could be done to it if you have the bucks, Does anyone know where i could get some more info. and approximant cost on that, and/or other mods that i could do for it?
THANKS

NO IT'S MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only reason i got the money is because my grandpa just died and he wanted me to have BIG inheritince money stuff for a car, but since this isnt the place for a soap opera, if anyone knows where I could find a SVO around the OHIO tri-state area that someone is lookin to sell let me know, my dad's lookin to get him one.

There are so many SVO's in the Ohio area it's not even funny...you shouldn't have any problems finding one.

As for the volvo...put it on the back burner for a while. It's not a project for a novice person. You can make over 400hp with the Ford head. Drop a turbo motor in it and have fun (without the volvo for now).

Just swap in a turbo motor with a few mods and get some turbo experience under your belt, once you have a working turbo setup then maybe come back to the idea of a volvo conversion, it does take time, and money, but it takes a well based knowledge of the 2.3 ...and alot of creativity(insanity in mikes case ) have fun, welcome to the board!

I would say that if you have the money get an Esslinger head. They flow a lot better than the stock one plus they are aluminum so it saves weight.

Well about finding the so there is an SVO 85' I think down the street but the guy wont budge with selling it he just lets it sit out in the rain and snow and is just slowley going to let it rust away,(kinda brings a tear to my eye) but other than that I havent seen but like 2 for sale in the last like year and a half, I look in ebay all over intrenet and newspaper classified anything I can think of. And yay i was going to wait to do the volvo thing I just wanted to get it while i had the money in hand, because I could just picture myself speeding off a bridge or something. But i am trying to mod my engine and i wanna really get all the pieces i need for a black interior, which seems to be the hardest thing for me so far
