hey guys, i dont know if anyone is intrested or not but i got a good condition 5 spd trans for the 2.3L mustang. I'm building a 5.0 V8 Rx-7 and my father in law went to the auto yard and saw a mustang, looked inside and saw it was a 5 spd. so he took it off and bought it. the thing is, i need one for a V8. i know i can make this work if i need, but the gearing is differnt and i dont want to rev the crap out of the v8.the guy wanted 200 for the trans alone, but my father in law talked him into 200 for everything, the fly wheel the clutch, the starter, the driveshaft. pretty much EVERYTHING. i have another guy selling me a V8 trans for 300, if anyone is intrested i have this one sitting here for 200. its really a great deal for everything. hit me up on AIM: supersteveiscool

well i bought the rx-7 with a blown motor and i sold the rx trans pretty quickly. so i no longer have those, i took the motor apart for giggles, kept a rotor and threw the rest of it away with the mustang shell

Honestly, $200 is kinda steep for a 18 year old transmission with who knows how many miles on it. I could get one around here for half that.

yeah who knows, maybe in your area its cheaper to buy parts. but i'm selling it at what i paid for it. i got everything for $194, since i'm gonig to be keeping the drive shaft, i would be willing to sell for cheaper than 200. i'm not trying to make profit here, i just picked up the wrong part, the junk yard wont take it back, so i'm screwed. i guess there arnt a lot of performance driven 4 cylinder mustangs, all you guys want is Automatics. oh and at first the junk yard wanted 200 for the trans alone, with out any of the other things.

Hey i'm just saying. 4 cylinder mustangs....what ever. and Dr. Elusive, dont get lippy with me. i just came on this forgotten part of stangnet, looking to hook someone up with good quality parts at a price i paid for. i'm not looking to make $200 in profit. i just want to get this off my hands. if it was worth it to use this trans i would, but its just to weak for the V8, it'll be revvinb the crap out of the V8, and i wont get the power to the ground i need. yea, this trans works great for your guys' 100hp 4 bangers. it just wont cut it. i dont really care, becuase if you guys dont get it, someone else will.

I junkyarded my T5 for $100 and it works great. You can badmouth us all you want, jackass, it still doesn't change the fact that you're asking more than we're willing to pay for your transmission. If you can find some sucker that'll pay that much for it, more power to ya....but I doubt it'll be anyone here.

UH-oh, if the four cylinder T5 is too weak for your mighty engine, then you better be finding yourself a good automatic since the 5.0 T5 is exactly the same except for the input shaft size and a couple of the gear ratios.

Most of us already have a t-5, don't need a t-5, or can find a t-5 for way less than you are selling. Just because you offer it doesn't mean we're obligated to buy it from you.

Quality parts? If you didn't care you wouldn't be posting after every reply.

P.S. I'm selling some tires . They're not enough for my needs so I'll let them go for what I paid for it. You 4 cylinder guys can probably use them, I can't. I might spin them to much. They'll be okay for your 100hp cars. $800 and they are from a '32 Ford, original tires.

hey Asha, are you calling me a sucker secretly? like hide it in your sentence? Yes, i think i will get a sucker to get a trans for $200. i mean yeah Mr. x could buy a brand nwe trans for over a thousand, or get mine for only 200 and get a bunch of supporting parts.

Red LX, yeah it is weaker. i've had many inputs on that, from people who have never met each other, meaning, 2 individual sources that dont know each other.

Crovax, i'm not saying, "YOU CAN ONLY BUY FROM ME!!!" i'm saying "hey guys,(especially the ones in the area) my father in law accidently got the wrong trans, and i need to get rid of it, i cant use it. this is what i paid for it, if anyone needs it, its here." and look at the dates of my replies compared to yours, i reply once every couple days, prolly once a week, your on here 12 minutes after i post. lol. good luck selling a set of 73 year old tires for that much

Mr woodster, shut up. where do you live, hemit? god forsaken victorville(shivers down my spine).

Christmas GT, i'm glad someone thought it was funny.

there was one other dumbass that tried to make me look like an ass, he was from this part of the forums too. what a loser he was.

http://www.torquecentral.com/showthread.php?p=244824#post244824

here is what i'm doing with slightly updated pictures on the very bottom. i'm of course the white kid. i might not look like it, but i'm a cold blooded killer. seriously, a grandma sneezed in front of my one time......lets just say she was "taken care of"

Actually it IS the same transmission, I've heard that from many different sources and there is a guy here running one behind a 5.0 in a cougar and he hasn't had any problems with it. But hey I'm sure those two people that told you otherwise know a lot more than everyone else does.

Oh yeah, go away.
