2.5" Flow Tubes - Where??

Locally, I don't know..... but Mustangs Unlimited in Atlanta has several different brands in different sizes, in aluminized and stainless. They are one of the few companies I know of that sell the flowtubes by themselves. Most flowtubes seem to come with cat-back kits only.
Hope this helps!

Thanks badpony

Everywhere i call, people are acting like complete morons when i ask for 2.5" pieces. The dealer, as well as canadian tire and midas all gave me a speech on how they won't make a seal and they won't fit with the rest of my system...

2.5" flowtubes will make a good connection with the stock H pipe, will they not? Everyone buy's 2.5" catbacks.. i dont see the problem.

I think im going to get midas to custom bend me some flow tubes in 2.5".. they told me $25 a piece (cnd).

50 resto

Late model resotoration supply sells a MAC version in 2.5".

aluminized steel tubing for 79-95 $48.95 a pair.

part number..MAC-43800

I am trying to bend myself up a set at work, but I don't know if its supposed to be inside or outside diameter that is 2.5".

good luck.

Yeah, a 2.25" H-pipe will bolt up to 2.5" flowtubes, or even 3" flowtubes for that matter because of the "ball/socket" type flanges they have. It's the same with the other ends of the H-pipe where they meet the headers. The design is for adjustability, so the pipes can be twisted around as needed to get a good fit/clearance. But they also allow for different sizes of exhaust components to be used together.

Those are the ones I was talking about. I don't know why the stainless ones are cheaper than the MAC ones, but I'd go with those. As you can see in the pics, the flow tube's ends have a "bell" shape that fits over the H-pipe's "ball" shaped ends. So they can be connected together and have a certain amount of room to swivel around for adjustment.
Hope this helps!

*EDIT* The links didn't take you to the exact flow tube pages. You'll have to go to the 79'-whatever section, then to the exhaust section, then find the flowtubes there. The different flowtubes are on different pages.

Thanks badpony, i checked them out on the site.

It's funny how i called 3 places, the dealer, canadian tire, and midas... they all told me that the 2.5" pieces would not fit, and they all tried to sell me the 2.25" pieces talking to me like i was an idiot.
