OK , I was in the middle of doing a little porting on the heads . I am mainly just opening the exhaust side a little and getting rid of the bump inside. I did one side and when I flipped it over I noticed the exhaust bumps were different. As this caught my attention, I noticed the heads have different stamps on them. The drivers side has WCP triangulated in a circle and a large 3 over one of the intake ports, a ford emblem in the middle and the number 25 stamped on the outside of the valve cover area. The passenger side has a CP in the same place as the WCP, a ford emblem where the Big #3 is and a big "T" in between the springs and in another spot. It is blank in the middle and it has the number 14 stamped on the outside of the valve cover area. Does any one know what this means. I remember reading a while back that the "T" head was a stock 5.0 HO head .

2 pics at a time is kinda time consuming:rlaugh: anyways the markings inside the cam valley lead me to believe the driver's side is the matching one. I am mostly interested in if the valves are the same size and if the chamber size is the same.
Thanks to all that have the knowledge to help.
Thanks ,

The 87 up Mustang and truck 5.0 got a E7TE head. Flip the head upside down and see if you see E7TE. It is cast on the bottom where the pushrods go through.
This engine is a 351 out of a 91' crown vic ex-cop car. Not a 5.0. The heads are still on the block and I don't intend to take them off unless I have to. I did look underneath were the push rods go but I didn't see anything that looked like a casting number. I will look again and write everything down , but I think one had a W underneath and the other had a T.

Thank You , that is exactly what I needed. I did a search but could never find what I needed. I took a piece of paper and rubbed the top over the numbers and found , the "T" head is the E7TE and the other one says E5AE with the CA under it. According to this,
[351 / 85-86 / E5AE-CA / 67-70CC / 1.78/1.46]
[351 / 87-95 / E7TE-PA / 62-65CC / 1.78/1.46]

So I do have two different heads.:nonono: Leave it to the police to fix things half-assed. I do have a few old E7TE heads laying around from my old 5.0 . So since they both have the same valve sizes and the E7's have a smaller combustion chamber, the E7's should be better performance.:nice: Just until I can get the money for better heads or get thumper460 to port them for me.:hail2:
Thanks again guys.

You could do this, but you'll have to have 302 7/16" head bolt holes drilled to accept the 351's 1/2" head bolts.
