2 power lock Q's

OK, one how can i test a power lock motor?

do the locks have a fuse? and witch one is it?

are yours frozen?i would guess you could remove them and use a 12 volt source to see if they move. phil

As indicated, you apply fused 12 volts to one side and ground to the other. Polarity does not matter; if you reverse the wires, the actuator goes the other way (we use reverse polarity locks).

If you need actuators, see JRichker's retrofit article. It is easy and the actuators work great.

long story short at one point i got a set of redone doors, manual everything and befor i could put the power stuff in the new doors it was stollen by some punk who got my cd player and thought the wires were worth somehting, anyway i got the windows converted to power and i'm tring to get the locks to work and was having no luck, i'll run power to it later and see what i get
