2 questions please help

Hey, i have a 2 questions, they have nothing to do with each other but here, first on my brothers 93 gt, the water guage says its low, like the meter is on the first or second bar at the bottom not even half, and the radiator has water, any idea whats wrong, its not hot or anything, maybe just the gauge? then also i was wondering how to make it so that u can turn on your fog lights without turning on your headlights, any manuals or how tos? thanks alot any replies would be great

dont know about the fog light thing...but stock gauges for the most part are no good. get an aftermarket temp gauge and sender

Thats not a water gauge to tell you the water in the radiator is low, its a tempature gauge telling you how hot the coolant is in the radiator. Sounds like it is reading about right.

no its the gauage to the right, this isnt the car but this is the gauge im talking about

Thats the oil pressure gauge.

oil pressure, not the best but shows you have pressure.

low oil pressure is a sign of a tired motor, bad piston rings, lost compression etc....... You should have a leak down test ran. It's probobly a real high mile'r huh.

if you want you fog lights to come on just run wire from the power/key on wire with a relay to them

no no no. go to the tech section from the SN homepage, and look for the fog light fix. it's more involved then shtty said.

k thanks guys, well i think i was looking at the wrong gauge becuase they said they were talking about the botom left gauge and thats water temp, iono im kind of confused but o well, its not my car i was just trying to help him out but its running smooth, about the fog light thing ive searched the forums and the homepage and havent found anything can someone give me a link or something, thanks alot guys

No problem bro. The main reason for doing that rewire is not just to gain the ability to turn the foglights on with just the marker lights. It's done because Ford used cheap wire that can't handle the load of the headlights and foglights. This results in melting wires, melting headlight switches, and melting multi-function switch (happened to me). It's something everyone should do to be safe, because it can lead to a loss of lights or a fire in the steering column. The light trick is just an added bonus. Make sure you follow the instructions to the T, so you get it right, or have someone with electrical experience do it with you. Good luck!

thanks, i was hoping it wasent as hard as it seemed, but god i have no idea what to do, im going to have to take it to a friend or someone to do that for me
