I recently installed new power door lock actuators and was disappointed to find they did not actuate! I printed off a wiring diagram and determined that there are two broken wires (Pink/Light Green and Pink/Black). I figured they would be broken in the door hinge area so I proceeded to try to get a look.

I managed to peel back about 1" of the electrical tape and out of dumb luck found one of the breaks. I wasn't able to see the other one but there is a lot of wire that I can't see. Are there any tricks to getting into this wire loom to get more access to do the repairs or am I destined to struggle with the rubber boot while simultaneously trying to expose and solder the wire?

I guess the other option is to run a pair of new wires through the hole. Where do they pop out under the dash?

Unfortunately, you are literally on a fishing expedition: you get to fish the old harness out of the door and fish again from under the dash. Look for connectors C222 & C602 on the two wiring harness drawings.

So I have to fish it out through the door and then through the bulkhead to work on it under the dash, or is it possible to fish it through the door only so it hangs in the jamb and then work on it?

I have not personally done this repair, but from looking at the diagrams, I would say that is true. You will have to take the door panel off and probably end up removing the glove compartment liner.
