I'm about a month away from driving past the 200,000 mile marker( :nice: ) and am wondering how I should mark the occasion. The engine is completely stock and has started to feel a bit tired over the past year. I plan on having the engine ripped apart for examination after this milestone. If all is good I'll be putting in some power adders.

Any problems I should keep an eye out for? What type of engine tests are usually done to examine the integrity of the engine?

With a big fat tire fry'in burnout! My car's up to something over 250K, but i'm not sure where since the speedo/odometer went out about 20k ago. Buy yourself a nice stroker kit if your block is in good shape, mill that sucker out and rock out the next 100k with a little more power :nice:

Oh yea, about those tests. Have a compression test done on your cylinders, which tests to see how your rings and head gaskets are holding up, and probably a leak down test to see if any of your gaskets are leaking. If all that shows good you're probably ok to keep kickin arse. As for the power adders, i dont have the nuts to use'em on my motor with 250k on it, so i'm sticking to NA racing for now.
