undefinedundefinedundefinedGood afternoon group. I have a problem with my 2000 GT, the drivers door glass has pulled out of the regulator bracket at the rear of the door. Can it be reglued or does the glass have to be replaced? Thanks, Jay.

Door Glass

I have the same problem on my 2000 vert. I have reglued it with silicone glue - no luck. I then used permatex silicone stripper to remove all the silicone and tried JB Weld but no luck - I will try again though because I might not have cleaned the silicone off as well as it could have been.

I called a glass shop and they said they have never had luck fixing this problem - their solution is to replace the glass. I assume the brackets are attached to new glass. I can't believe Ford has not addressed this problem and I can't believe it can't be fixed. This is a poor design and probably rarely affects the hardtop Mustangs. My thery is poor design, convertible owners use their windows much more than hardtop owners and by design the window stop works against it self. Additionally, hardtops have the hardtop seal to help in the full up stop of the glass relieving some of the strain on that glued on regulater stop at the rear of the glass.

I am also surprised there are few posts regarding this issue and no solution.
