I have a 2000 Mustang GT that will not start. This is what happened: When I was driving, I put the window down but then it wouldn't go back up. I got home and turned off the car and proceeded to check fuses under the dash and in the engine bay. I found no bad fuses but the car will not start now. It turns like its going to start but it won't. Also - the instruments are dead and the odometer is all dashes. If I leave the key in the on position, the guages all active except the odometer. Any idea what I looking at as far as diagnosis and $?

Pull the battery and have it tested if you hadn't. My 03 would die and then after I give it a jump and let it idle and stuff for a bit it would act fine until I accelerate. at that point the BAD batery would have put to much of a draw on the alternator that was putting up great voltage. I replaced the battery and it ran like a top.

Thanks - I went into the fuse panel last night and located the fuse I pulled originally and then put back in the wrong place. Thanks again.

You should buy a test light instead of pulling fuses...work smarter not harder.
