when i bought my 2000 gt about a month ago it had a 2001 cobra hood, not the R just the one that looks prety similar to the termi hood. its fiberglass and im thinkin its most likely is a cheaper repro hood and not the stock. on the underside of the hood where the latch catches, there is just an aprox 2"x2" hole in the hood with a steel piece that goes around the hole on the inside of the hood. the stock latch just goes up into the whole and catches the hood. and it seems prety ghetto to me. and i have to be carefull when closing my hood. i messed with the stock latch and the hood bumpstops, and got the gaps all lining up good, and it looks good when its closed. but is this the correct way for this hood to close or did the previous owner change the hood and not the latch or something? thanks
