I have a weird problem with the power locks on my 01 GT. If I hit the unlock button once, both doors lock or unlock correctly. If I hit it again immediately, the locks dont actuate. I can let it sit for about 5 minutes then they work correctly again, 1 time. I dont think its the actuators because both doors do exactly the same thing. The battery has enough voltage to start the car so dont think its the problem either. I hear something clicking as I hit the lock/unlock buttons around the fuse box but cant find it. Guessing its a relay or a solenoid or something. Anyone seen this before?

I had this same problem before in my 01 F250 pickup last year. for me it turned out the actuators for the locking/unlocking were bad. I was puzzled that both would go out at the same time but that's what happened. I could unlock or lock once and they worked great...anymore than that and they seemed to not have enough umph to do the job. I ended up going to my local ford part house, purchasing two new ones and installing them myself. Haven't had any issues since. I talked with the parts guy some about it and he thought i may have gotten some type of voltage spike that fried the acuators but i never bought into that idea because i had no other issues that you might see with a voltage spike. good luck.
