Please help!!!
I just bought a 2002 gt convertible manual. The cluster is acting up and so are all the engine lights.

First start of car, fuel gauge wasn’t working. Gauge started working about 10 min into drive. At the same time, odometer was just blinking. Odometer and fuel gauge started to work around the same time. Service engine soon light came on about 50 miles into the drive. I shut car off then turned back on. Engine light didn’t come back on. Now the entire instrument cluster doesn’t turn on until about 15-30 seconds later with the fuel gauge about 20 seconds after that. I noticed now that every engine light in cluster after the theft light does Not work. They were all working when I bought it. Previous owner did put a brand new batter in before I bought it. When I got home i found that he did not tighten both battery cAbles. They were very loose. I tightened them down thinking it would fix problem but it didn’t. Wondering if all of his is tied into the same issue.

Your help is greatly appreciated .

If this were my car I would disconnect and clean all of the electrical connectors to the cluster. Not a bad idea to test and confirm good grounds all the way back to battery negative. The ground wires are black or black with a white stripe.

Use a test light that will "load" the circuit.

If that didn't resolve the problem then do a visual inspection for wiring harness damage (rodent or water).
