My mom has a 2002 DSG Mustang GT Convertible. Shes looking to get one of those newer Cadillac CTS's and wanted me to look into what she could get for her car.

Its an auto, mach 1000 stereo system, ONLY 38k miles. Driven just a few miles per day to work and back. Completely bone stock.

I would say its in very good condition.

What do you think she could get for it?? She said if she could bring in 14k, she'll sell it... Nothing under...
Do you think thats possible?

Thanks in advance

Although the miles is low, I think that her price is somewhat optimistic. It's probably worth 10 to 12K IMO. I bought my 04 GT with an original 14,000 miles on it last July for 15K from a dealer, if that helps.

Look it up at www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com

Since you are trading it in to a dealer bring in the printout. There is no way your going to get 14 trade and highly unlikely even if you sold it outright. Its a 6 year old mustang.

Ya, I was afraid it would be only worth in the 12k range.... I guess we'll have to get lucky and find the right buyer that wants a low mileage dsg vert...

Must be nice! Cars here are a lot more expensive it seems. You could probably sell it out right and get 14000 for it here...

Dealer trade in will be 8,500 and retail around 12,000. Sorry to say but the market is flooded with Mustang's and the economy is heading for a recession.

Oh yeah and when you go to the dealer they will probably give you a trade/discount all as one number. This includes your trade plus the discount of the new vehicle. They do this to hide the "actual" trade in value. Hope this helps . . . .
