Unfortunately I may be forced to sell my Saleen. Does anyone have an idea of what it is worth? Here is a pic

I paid 19,000 for my '02 281 non-SC with 11,000 miles. It is not a SC like yours but this may give you an idea. Honestly, I think I gotta helluva deal. I have yet to see one like mine go for as cheap.

Contact Mark at performanceautosport. He will be able to help you out in that regard. Right now it is a BUYERS market and you may not be able to get what the car would actually be worth in the long run. Just my .02 cents worth. Website: www.performanceautosport.com

I have decided to start around $26k. It's perfect condition, I think this is reasonable would anyone agree?

That is very high if you really want to sell it. Check out the PAS website. Look how long many of those cars have been for sale. (nearly a year) It is a buyers market and may never get better for any year below 2004. Depending on milage, under 20K I would consider $22K. If it is above that in milage I would look closer to $20K. Obviously ask $1K more but be willing to accept the numbers I listed. If you are going to list it on ebay I would list the numbers with the buy it now feature...

According to nadaguides your car is worth $32,300 for high retail. $28,900 for mid retail and $25,500 for low retail.

20k is way too low. For a 19,000 mile car and an 02 S/C you should be able to get 25k for it. 20k is a smoking deal for a 01-02 N/A. I agree you can pick up a low to high 20k mile car ( N/A 1999-2000 ) for around 19-20k. Mineral grey is a more popular color that it was a year ago for some reason. If you are not desperate just wait it out a bit.

Oh, I am suprised the frame around your running horse is chrome instead of black. Is there any new paint on the front of your car?

When did they start doing that? Mine is painted, but I have seen quite a few in my body style where the frame is still chrome.

It's all stock, there has never been any paint work done to the car. Yours is painted? Thats something saleen did? While we're on the topic of saleen, do they also install a new body peice behind the rear 1/4 windows? above the 1/4 panels? Mine looks like it's fiberglass.

Yes on both.

Your chrome outline around the Mustang on the grill is painted black on mine, and was noted on the factory window decal.

The window pillar panel is the best "subtle" change they do on the car in my opinion. After seeing the Saleen panel, the stock ones look funny to me now.

I have seen some 2000's painted black and most all 2001's all the way up after. All Saleen did was spraypaint it black. They didn't even rough up the chrome.

The other you speak of is the C- pillar treatment done to ALL 1999 and up Saleen coupes. ( of course not verts as some smart ass chimed in about before )

The early ones were glass but the later ones were plastic.
