The only mod that I have to the car is a bassani X-pipe with high flow cats. I have put about 200 miles on the car since I installed the pipe and it's been great. Last night I took the car out after it had been sitting, and drove about five miles before the Service Engine Soon light came on. Could it be from the pipe?

Yes, that is exactly what has turned on the SES light.

The shop that did the install should be able to help you with installing some MILs. They should run you about $75.

You just need to buy something like this: http://www.dallasmustang.com/index.mvc?p=9074

They just plug up between the rear two O2 sensors and the body harness. If you installed the pipe, this will be a no-brainer.

If you are handy with electronics you can build your own, there are links to plans on this site if you search.

I didn't know the high flow cats caused the ses to appear. I would consider the install and the chance of running lean? If it was an x pipe without cats than it would be a no brainer and that would be the problem.

I dont know why it would turn on from the MILs again. You know autozone will read your SES light for free. I would suggest trying them. It could be something as simple as the gas cap not sealing all the way. Hopefully they will help you narrow down the problem.
