My 2003 convertible is leaking at the bottom corners of the seam in the rear window. I found where the water is coming in but I dont know what to fix it with can someone recomend a good sealer?
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's unlikely that you will be able to seal this leak. It's s stress fracture from repeated bending of the fabric near the corner of the window glass.
I delt with this same issue myself. Due to the location of the hole, it's difficult to get a patch over the hole. If the patch is too small, it won't bend with the fabric. There isn't enough room to install a proper patch. If you go to the trouble to remove the rear wind screen, you might as well replace it. The serious money is in the labor to remove and install. For that reason, it doesn't make sense to re-use the old wind screen.
OBTW, the rear wind screen can be replaced without replacing the rest of the top.
