2003 Convertible V6 Parasitic Draw

Hello!...I have a 2003 Mustang Convertible, V6, Auto...it drains the battery overnight...I used a multimeter to determine that there was a 165mA..I think the standard draw allowable is about 50mA or less...I pulled ever fuse under that hood and under the dash, no change...I unplugged the alternator, also..no change..anyone have any idea's??...thanks..

How long have you owned the car?

Did you buy it used?

Is there any extra wiring or fuses or gismos in the engine bay or under the dash that are not OEM?

Is the radio stock? Does it work right? If it's aftermarket, did you check the wiring?

If you have pulled [every] fuse and are still seeing a draw then suspect some add-on 'something or other' that is bypassing your fuse panel.

Draws on convertibles are often the rear Mach 460 amps. Do you have the Mach 460 system?

The amps are behind the rear seat. You’ll need to pull the seatback out to access them to unplug them

Also, the GEM on these cars stays active for 45min after last action on the car. So if you open the door you need to set up your meter and wait 45min with hood open to take a reading. GEM draws about 150 ma until it goes to sleep.

Alternator and Mach amps are the two most common issues, and on convertibles it’s usually the amps due to water leaking down on them.
