I have a Check Fuel Cap light and my mechanic tells me I will need a new Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor to resolve. Problem is that Ford has discontinued this part and there is no aftermarket for it that I can find. Any ideas? Thanks.
Thanks much. Sounds like I may be SOL unless I can find one at a U-Pull It yard. On the bright side the vehicle runs fine, no performance issues yet that I can tell. Going to check back with mechanic and review OBD codes. Not getting CEL.
Dorman tech indicates no go ("Based off of the year and other calls it will not work with that . we don’t have a sensor for it") but I might go ahead and try it anyway. Thanks.
I just don't know the specific differences electrically to understand if one would work where another one will not work. Not a whole lot on this topic unfortunately.
