Have chance to pick one up at a good deal and wondering if it will fit right in or if I would need to have any work done (cut and re weld) to make it fit?

Id double check that..... i bought a bbk O/R X for a 99-04 GT and it wouldnt fit. The right side matched up to the flange perfectly and the left side matched up as well however the bracet didnt line up with the bolts on the ballside flange.

Sometimes they fit and sometimes they don't depending on the company. I have an X-Pipe by Bassani that was originally for a 98 Cobra and it fit perfectly on my 03 GT...

Yeah thats what i figured too. So i guess BBK would fall under the category of the ones that dont fit.

I had used many midpipes from 99-04 on my 98, including a mac prochamber.

I think you will be fine.

Putting the X-pipe on this weekend, last night I got on the Spintechs with turn downs so it dumps out right by the axle and just with those really love the deep sound way better then stock. And man was it easy to do, looks like the x-pipe will be just as easy. I wish exhaust was this easy with the last car I had.

Will do. I think I got a good deal on the set up as well $200 for the x-pipe and Spintechs (they had the turn downs and pipes to connect to the x-pipe all ready on so all I had to do was bolt it up).

I had to cut an opening into the driver side bolt holes for them to fit but that was all I needed to do. So I would say it was worth it for the cost of a few dremel discs to make the cuts.
