my mustang has 160k now and the trans fluid and filter have never been changed, this car has no dip stick which makes it hard to check the fluid. have no issues with the trans at this time, but in my mind I should change the fluid and filter.i have talked with other owners most tell me if its not broke don't fix it. some tell me it does not require a change. my question is should I change it

I have a 2004 Ford Mustang 3.9L V6 automatic myself and it comes with a trans fluid dipstick that's on the passenger side up against the firewall/heat-wall (dashboard in the engine compartment). If the transmission fluid or transmission filter have never been changed, it needs to be changed at 150K miles according to the Ford maintenance manual that came with the car. I'm the original owner of my 2004 Mustang and will be doing mine soon; currently at 144K miles. I have a thread/post about an oil/fluid leak if you're interested in commenting in. Thanks.
