Did they tell ya the good ole "if I could, would ya" I use to love saying that when I sold cars to get people to sit down and start fillling out aplications and paperwork to see just how serious they are. there was a waiting list 5 people long at some dealerships near tacoma as well. so i wouldnt be suprised if they sell for those prices at all.
Thanks, Good Choice although I really took care of my cobra as far as oil changes ect. all royal purple threw the tranny ,rear end and tranny also enough wax on her to cover probably there whole car lot. I sure enjoyed that car. People get so sprung at dealers and I just don't understand it as there are plenty of cars and patience is the key to finding the right one. I have NEVER had a deal take longer then an hour at a dealer, I just refuse to play their games.

I am definately with ya on the R1! As far as the R1 versus the gsxr 1000 I would'nt sat it was superior thats for sure especialy for looks The R1 IMO and many others is way better looking then the gsxr. The Gsxr has more power and handles better, but its not night and day power difference same with handling. If you take a rider with a little more skill and I mean just a little he's gonna take the gsxr on a road course and have a way better looking bike. I personaly dont care for the single stack head light kinda looks like Cyclopes or something else ,to be politicaly correct im not going to mention I prefer the cat eye type headlights one on each side and lines of the R1 are second to none, heres a pic of one same color like I use to have

But I go in there with a good attitude, and I let them know that I fully understand their need to make a buck, and respect it, as long as they shoot straight we'll get along well. Oh, and I like the R1 looks too, but I'd probably go with that. I've ridden an R1, and it had more than enough power for me, (and I'm a pretty big guy!) so I doubt I would use the extra power or handling to make the difference.
Your better off with the vortech , especially if your a family man or a family man in training lol. I used to be able to get out of the house so easily from my old ball chain and just say im going for a ride hun "although I did pay dearly usually when I got home" its a lot harder to justify going for a ride your in your car. It was great therapy for me and a escape route. I bought my cobra to try and fulfill my need for speed being without a bike , so im thinking why not get another bike since I dont have a cobra anymore than I can have the best of both worlds my truck and a bike for my adrenaline rush.fiveohwblow said:I am definately with ya on the R1! I doubt it cause if you were, you wouldnt be typing, you would be eating through a straw. I have ridden plenty of R6 and R1's and I think they are amazing. Finally going to a two or three part chassis (I cant remember) helps with the handling and just shy of 200 hp is more than enough. Hands down R1. That is the most beautiful color as well. I say do it Ed!!
