Your better off with the vortech , especially if your a family man or a family man in training lol. I used to be able to get out of the house so easily from my old ball chain and just say im going for a ride hun "although I did pay dearly usually when I got home" its a lot harder to justify going for a ride your in your car. It was great therapy for me and a escape route. I bought my cobra to try and fulfill my need for speed being without a bike , so im thinking why not get another bike since I dont have a cobra anymore than I can have the best of both worlds my truck and a bike for my adrenaline rush. :nice: BTW that cbr 600 was a blast , so I can understand how ya miss it
Yeah for sure. I definately got crap from my wife for even buying it, but she is amazing to say the least. Not a lot of wives out there allow their husbands to get a 5.0, a rocket (BTW it was an F3 also!), sell the rocket and buy a supercharger...so on and so forth. I take heat all the time, but when all is said and done she lets me do it. I only took one escape ride and was also reamed upon my arrival. I learned my lesson. There is nothing quite as exhilerating(SP) as getting on a rocket and having all that power and the wind blowing by you. Its just not something I can describe. I sure miss it and I plan on getting another some day. As far as the wheelies go, I am a wuss and dont do those, or at least not on purpose. Hope you get that blue R1 though Ed!

Thanks, Good Choice although I really took care of my cobra as far as oil changes ect. all royal purple threw the tranny ,rear end and tranny also enough wax on her to cover probably there whole car lot. I sure enjoyed that car. But im really enjoying my truck now, its like im trying to figure out what I can buy so I can load it in the back:p I thinks A YZF R1 Would fit perfect:nice:

I knew you would get a bike! :rlaugh: I might get one this summer, though I have been saying that for several summers:rlaugh: My friend called the dealership about your cobra, about a week after you left it with them. The salesman asked, "Should I give you the buddy price, or the regular price?" My friend replied, "What do I have to do for the buddy price?":rlaugh: The guy quoted 28,000 for the buddy price, without any sexual favors involved. As far as dealers go, I used to go from used lot to used lot in Beaverton and mess with the salesman (I was a bored high schoo kid). I can't tell you how many stangs and camaros my friends and I drove the piss out of! It was a good time.:nice:

That would be cool. We could make a few runs up Rocky Point :D. Think you could outrun an STI up those twisties? ;)

Dave
I've never been to Rocky point, but i've done alot of knee dragging in California, Azusa canyon, los angles crest ect. I'm a little rusty , like about 5 years rusty..lol. Dont know if i'd take ya, but i know i could make you work for it:p :D

Man you guys are making me want my bike now! I cant take this... I would have to say that the bike would probably be ahead of the sti...by about a mile :nice: ;)

It would be fun, for sure! :nice: And Rocky Point is about the only place I'd be willing to give you a run -- there is a guy at work who's into bikes, and he also has an Evo ... and he used to have an STI as well. He said on Rocky Point the STI was faster than his bike, because the way the corners are setup -- about perfect for a car, but not great for a bike. Everywhere else, you'd run away...

But there's only one way to know for sure... :jester:

Mystichrome Cobra...

I was in Ron Tirapelli Ford when the Mystichrome Cobra came out and I was in L-O-V-E with a 2004 Competition Orange Cobra That I was in there to buy but, when I saw the Mystichrome one I was hard pressed to choose between the two... They were both soooo unusual and hot and the Mystichrome was only $2K more... Confused me bought the Orange one... I thought... Ya know... I'll probably get sick of the Mystichrome one... I kinda regret it now... I still love my Lolita, but the grass is always greener, right?!?!? :bang:

I cant talk much in regards to the sales people trying to be sharks because I my self am a sales manager and I force them to be freakin sharks. But you know what....at the end of day, month, year, they'll get paid very well, and in turn me as well.

But to the bikes subject, I can see why Ed doesnt like that GSXR that much. Its one of the reasons I dont like the ducati 999R. But when the summer comes I'll probably be getting either a ducati monster or some kind of a chopper.
