OK, so I'm thinking of buying another Mustang. I found a 2004 Mustang V6 with 187,000 miles for real cheap. Is this too many miles to even think about buying or should I take a chance?

Depends.

Has it been maintained and cared for and looks to be in good condition? Or has it been neglected, with body damage, dirty interior, and dirty engine and probably needs a lot of maintanence?

Up to you to decide which car it is of those 2. The miles alone wouldn't scare me off. My daily driver has 180K miles on it and it surprises people when I tell them that. It still runs/drives like it did when new. On the other hand, I've been in cars that feel like they are falling apart at 100K miles
