Here is my dilema, I have been searching on the forum for the past 12 hours and I have not been able to figure out what exhaust setup to do and . Here is what I am looking for in the exhaust.

A smooth deep tone that is quiet while cruising and does NOT DRONE(more of a smooth exotic tone rather then classic 60 muscle car). I am also planning to add Long tube headers and the Saleen supercharger.

Is the stainlessworks full system good. The 1 with the headers xipie with cats and turbo mufflers. IT is a 3 inch system. Thank you your help is greatly appreciated.

stainless works make some great stuff.

Not sure, but is their 05 GT exhaust using their chambered mufflers?

These are fantistic and flow incrediably well, however they will have very much a 60's sound to them. The X pipe will make it more racey. Personally I think it'd be a great choice.

However I don't think you can get ANY exhaust to meet you requirements.

Quitet and no drone would be stock exhaust. All after market ones that are lounder will have some degree of drone.

Deep tone would be more old school and a H pipe does this well.

Exoctic would be more revvy racey sounding, i.e. not deep or old school.

Corsa exhaust does NOT drone.
Sounds great too - esp when you mash it!

I love my Bassani system. I have only heard drone from it a few times and it seems to only happen when it was really cold outside. Other than that she purrs at idle and sounds real mean at WOT. The system looks great too and the x pipe and high flow cats are much better than the stock cats and h-pipe IMO. Here is a picture of the two compaired:

Here also is some videos of my car on the dyno and you can really hear the sound of the Bassani's:

I'm running JBA Long tubes, JBA catted H pipe, and JBA Catback. It's the smoothest and best sounding exhaust I've had on any Mustang, Cobra, or Lightning I've owned...and I've had a bunch. It's quiet at idle, still somewhat noticable. Very quiet at cruising, even w/ the long tubes. Open it up and they know you are there...but not annoyingly loud. I love the setup.

Before I sold the '05 a couple of weeks ago, I was running the Stainless Work 1 3/4 longtubes w/hi-flow cats setup. I retained the factoy after-cat setup, but with Flowmasters. It had no drone to speak of and a deep, healthy sound to it. If you are interested in the headers/cats/hardware, I have the entire kit for sale at $800.

Love my Bassani! Once you hear this kit you will not want any other exhaust kit, I Guarantee it. I've heard them all and none compare to the deep muscle car rumble this kit puts out. Not tinny, no drone, no resonation, deep tone, great look, highest quality you can buy. Call Lightning Force Performance, they can hook you up on Bassani and other parts.

I'm running this same setup but with the stock mufflers, and I really love the way she sounds.

I hope so......after 2 months of debating, I just ordered the Bassani axle-back kit for my '06. I had the Borla kit on my '04 Mach 1, and decided to to something different this time. Should be here next week, so hopefully it rocks!

I have been searching for the same system, I did not want to spend a lot of cash on the Corsa or borla's (they are way over priced).
I first Purchased the SLP Loudmouths, They sound awsome but very loud and not low enough tone.

then I bought the MAC 's I LOVE The LOW sound and WOT roar, If I could find a system just like this without the DRONE I would buy in a heart beat. but the drone is worse in an automatic so I am selling these.

I am now modifying my stock exhaust, adding High flow cats, Bassani Xpipe and I cut open the top of the stock muffler and I have gutted all the fiber mesh out of it and welding the flap back on. May be buying some more stock mufflers off of ebay to test but so far I think it may sound great.

You want a more european sound, go with an X-pipe, since you're wanting to avoid the 60's muscle car sound, avoid the H-pipes.

The differences in various mufflers as far as HP are pretty minimal (1-2hp at best) so what you should also look for is sound, weight, how they look and materials used in its construction.

I've looked around, and based on what I'm finding, Ford Racing's exhaust upgrade is the best I've seen. Its a quality piece, and they only weigh 7.5 pounds a piece. Compare that with say a Magnaflow system. Magna's a quality piece, sounds good, but weighs twice as much.

It just depends on your particular requirements.
