Sorry if this is a repost, I did a search, but didn't see it anywhere.

Enjoy!

i'm sure it moves like a beast but the GTO looks very bland to me. all a matter of taste i suppose.

Buddy of mine just bought a new Goat, and he loves it. Solid machine.

Still looks too much like an econobox for me, though ...

Agreed. The numbers for the Goat are impressive, but I just don't like the look. The Stang offers the best of both worlds - great performance and great looks.

Truth be told, I'd be willing to pay extra money for an extra 100hp on the stang. That said, the Mustang still offers better bang for the buck than the GTO.

The GTO looks like a Grand Prix. Oh, and an Pontiac's 400 HP LS2 is waaayyy overkill. It's hard enough for us to catch up to the power of the old LS1.

That's pretty funny because I have absolutely no problem whatsoever in completely stomping and LS1 or an LS2 in the 1/8th or 1/4 mile - as long as they give me a 5 second head start!

In all honesty, the GTO is a very impressive machine, good specs and consistant performance for the money....but who the hell wants to drive something that resembles a trashbag on 4 wheels, the car just looks absolutly terrible in my opinion.

The GTO does have better acceleration numbers. Its a mover. Funny though Mustang sold more in April than the GTO did all of last year... Twice as many actually. GM stuff just seems a little overpriced. I was looking at car prices for 05 and a loaded out Monte Carlo with a Supercharged 3800 would have been 33K.

It's funny all the flak the new Mustang has caught for use of an "ancient" solid reat axle, and now the GT500 too, but when compared to a more expensive and "refined" IRS, it still whoops up on it in the handling department. I'm not worried about the GT500's either.

Agreed. It's not quite as bad as most ricers, but looking at those pics still gave me a hankerin' for sushi.
