2005 GT Mustang

Looks as if they hold their value pretty well. Then again getting a great deal on a new one helps tons too. Your question is 2 fold...great for sellers not so great for buyers. Case in point, mine is an '06 bought on 8/29. MSRP was $30,515 and I paid $27,270 dealing with the internet salesman. Looks decent in the pic and I see it has the quarter window scoops. Any other mods? I know there are threads on here about the crazy used prices already. IMO that is not a bad price(not sure about the mileage affecting that price, good or bad) to get one of these great cars. It is leaps and bounds over the '00 GT I had for 4+ years!

Have you owned any Stangs before?
I say if you can afford it...GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

With a few bolt on mods the '05 I'm sure it could be near the same power of your '95. A few threads in here about CAI/tuner combos getting near the 300 rwhp mark. Not bad for a $600 mod.

Here is a recent thread about a bone stock GT at the track(most people are running high 13's @100+mph). From what I have read on here overall the GT's perform very well and several people are seeing around .3-.5 seconds quicker at the track with just the CAI/tuner combo. I'm quite sure that with CAI/tuner, exhaust, gears, good tires AND traction the 12's shouldn't be unheard of.

I haven't looked at purchasing a used one, but can't you get a brand new 2007 Mustang GT for a little bit more $$? It'll come with almost 0 miles on the odometer

If you really are interested, make sure you do a carfax + testdrive the car and then go from there
