So im driving home last night in my car (2005 GT with stock TR-3650 and 65,000 miles) and I downshift to third without issue and then coast to stop at a stop sign. After stopping, I put the shifter into second and tried to take off, but after releasing the clutch the motor just revved like it was in neutral. I shifted into first and the same thing. There is almost no resistance between first-neutral-second, and it wont shift into any other gear. I have it on my lift and checked the linkage and it appears to be fine so it must be something internal. If anyone has had this problem or knows more about these transmissions I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

J

Did you actually feel it go into first or second? or did it just go toward that position and not lock in?
