2005 Mustang only 25K Failsafe mode P2106

Why would you replace the throttlebody??? Thats a mechanical device not electrical. p2016 states there may be a fault with the TP sensor, MAF sensor, power to ground corcuit failure, open circuit failure or power loss to circuits controling and there are a mess of tests to be done to see what the exact problem is. Who told you to replace the TB??? Did you get free DTC check at Autozone and thats the best they could come up with?? :rlaugh: I didn't find P610 but P611 is when the PCM doesn't receive signal from from FICM (fuel injector control module, and that has a few diagnostic procedure to see what's wrong either way I wouldn't be surprised if one of these failure also set off the other code. Good luck

Great advice but I am new to coding. What is a [DTC check[/Sounds good and I have an Autozone to go to. What am I taking to them to test? Sorry I sound so dumb. I was a authorized ford mechanic in the 70s. Alot has changed since then. I am rebuilding a wreck. Hit on left side. missed the frame rail but took out the air box. replaced it with a kkm cold air. Ran great for a couple days. then the problem started. I got the info from allfordmustangs.com. big waist of money. Sounds like you know what your talking about. The light harness is damaged but the other ignition harnesses are ok.

First things first, when you installed the the K&N Cold Air Intake, are you sure that you installed the Mass-Air Sensor the proper way? Just look at the sensor that you screwed into the intake tube and make sure the "FLOW ARROW" points towards the engine. Simple check and very simple fix! Otherwise this sounds like a harness issue, perhaps a power-to-ground issue, connectivity issue, or a missing ground somewhere. I would check over the harness and all of the electrical connections. Also make sure that all of the clamps are tight for the cold air intake and you don't have an air leak somewhere.

Good Luck!
