2005 Mustang release rumours in Oz

I'm not doubting you, or tryin to be an ass. Over here though 150 isn't too tough, but if you have some aerodynamic mods that could very well be the culprit. Do you have any pics? Also, gearing plays a big roll, what transmission is it. I'm not to familiar with V8's so if you know what other cars that tranny is in, it might help.

That's cool GONEn60, your post didn't suggest you were outta line, just curious. I'm talking stockers, well... apart from the air and exhaust mods that most will do to make an eight sound like an eight.

A link for the HSV website here:

HSV modify the standard vehicle like the Monaro and make something a little more unique. And it could have been a success for the GTO in the Amercan market if they had borrowed a little Aussie style. :D

Like any location. there are guys here producing serious kilowatts with aftermarket cams, blowers yada yada.. so we don't need to go there.

The 6 speed box makes a 150 attempt tricky, the reason I posted the video clip was to show with a stocker LS1, that 150 mph / 5th gear is a nats pube away and so is fuel cutoff. A nasty clutter of bangs if you go there!
So there you go.
Post your best and prove it I guess.

In the scheme of things, my mods ( same for the Mustang ) are aimed at bottom end performance.
The launch, G force and game over

Edit.... as P.S. Please guys, post a video of a stocker running, if it can improve on 250kph/150mph. no claims.. justa video

well i honestly don't think people are that doubtful that they have to video it the rev limiter is 155 on mach 5-speed and there have been numerous people who have hit it.... I don't think the mustang will be imported to austrailia. If you get one it will be made by fmcaus...... The reason being is that they are making the new mustang on the same line as the mazda 3 and are only capable of producing 175k....
