I just got off the phone with MGW about their billet AC knobs. The web site says they won't work on an 2007. I asked why and was told the factory knobs can no longer be simply pulled off. I gave mine a really good tug and they didn't budge. WTF? I wanted to start brightening up my interior and have been stopped in my tracks with my first mod. Anybody have any experience/advise????

Thanks in advance,

Rick

I have a question for you guys with 07's.
When you put your heater controls to the FLOOR position.
Do you get any air coming out of the defrost vents on the dashboard?
I'm no talking about a minor leak but 30-40% of the air which was supposed to be going to the floor.

Thanks

I have a '03 Mustang GT with a similar problem and I know guys with Mustangs a few years older than mine with the same problem. If the heat is set on floor mode, all of a sudden it will start blowing out the defrost vent and after a while it will return to the floor mode. Ford uses a vacuum canister under the dash for a vacuum reserve and I would assume that it is used in the new Mustang models also. I guess sometimes a load on the engine will deplete the reserve vacuum allowing the vacuum heater/defrost controls to loose vacuum. The controls may be very sensitive to vacuum changes. Probably a larger reserve canister is needed. Just goes to show you how uninterested Ford is in fixing certain problems, just keep passing it on to the next model year.
