The intake tube on my Bullitt has an apparatus that looks like a billy-goat chin hanging from it between the MAF & throttle body. I'm assuming that its a muffler or some type of a charge cooler. Probably the former. Has me thinking that the what came on my car is really more of a cold air box and filter vs full on CAI. I can probably remove the "muffler" and plug the holes but wondering what other low cost options there might be. I like the existing mounting location and configuration so replacing the entire assemble doesn't appeal to me. Does anyone sell just a pipe or have any specs so that I could make my own or other ideas? Thanks

Found it in the online catalog. Says it will work with FRPP on Shelby GT and Hertz with their reprogram. Looks like it may work but not sure I mines the same as the two mentioned...my tube appears to be one piece that is soft/thin rubber on the side that goes to the MAF and hard/thicker on the TB elbow end. I might be able to cut mine with a utility knife at the soft\hard transition and mate it to the Steeda elbow. The muffler has an inlet and outlet on the tube, I'll have to make sure the elbow is replacing both sides of the muffler. This would likely improve the flow which is my objective. This is exactly the type of input I was looking for. Thanks

That's what we are here for Let me know if it works! I always liked the filter tray for the Bullitt intake, but not the tube...

I emailed Steeda last night and am bit surprised I haven't heard back yet. I also wanted to know if there is a bung or marked optimum location for my nitrous nozzle. Do most folks mount it on the top or bottom of the tube? Does it even matter? Should I start a new thread or poll?

In most of the systems that I have seen they mount them on the side about 6ish inches from the TB. Don't worry about Steeda they will contact you, I had to wait three days for AM to get back to me on here...
